Charles Booth in Shoreditch

I had a piece in an interim exhibition that my course put together, in Beach Gallery London, waaaaay back in April.
^^^ a portrait of Charles Booth - a philanthropist and sociologist who is most famous for the 'poverty maps' he created of London during the 1880's and 90's. The maps were intricate drawings, colour coded to represent the wealth of every street in London. The little section on his jacket was taken from his map of Shoreditch (where Beach London is, to be precise) and the stripey bits are the colours he used. See what I did there? It helps I like stripes.
All of my personal work is loosely based around the same themes at the moment - I'm going to upload some more bits of unfinished work soon.
